Paris, nowadays... Vincent and Marc, two young soldiers, have just arrived in the city to join in the 14th of July military parade on the Champs Elysées. They have recently been through violent fights during a war abroad nobody seems to give a damn about here. At the firemen's traditional ball, they meet Juliette and Valerie, two young women from Normandy, both shy and dizzy with their first stay in Paris.
